energyhive is its members - a community of individuals with different reasons for wanting to save energy but a common goal: to reduce their energy consumption. With a Real Time Display electricity monitor and our data collector they can see their electricity consumption and compare themselves to others.

What I find really useful is entering my target budget for the month and seeing how I am doing against it. It is amazing how much more energy efficient we get during the last week of the month in our house! Running a home means managing the bills - electricity is a big spend for us. energyhive's charts show me how I am doing for the month thus far and it is interesting to compare myself to the average.
I really care about saving our planet. I know that changing my behaviour is the first step - because if we all conserve energy, we can change the world. energyhive lets me track my energy usage anytime, from any browser. I've been known to ring my flatmate to ask what he's doing if I see a spike in the chart! And, of course, seeing how much I've spent is always a motivator ;)
Tracking my energy consumption over my chosen time period gives me a great sense of where I can improve my efficiency. Be warned; when you first sign-up you'll be going round your home turning things on and off just to see what causes the peaks in the chart.
Comparing my energy usage to others really motivates me - I like competition. energyhive will let me choose the group I compare myself to; everyone, or people who match my profile. In my case other people in a 2-bed flat who live alone.
